A Letter from Keanu Reeves

"Lofty as the mountains he admires, Chen Wan is like a bird in flight, circling through the years." At first glance, he seems like a powerful, calculating figure—but in truth, he's a tsundere and secretly quite repressed. Meanwhile, the seemingly gentle and understanding boy is actually a little unhinged beneath his soft smile. This is a story of a flirtatious, aloof prince-type seme × a refined, well-mannered but quietly obsessive uke. The Crown Prince × The Illegitimate Son Zhao Shengge × Chen Wan Chen Wan blends seamlessly into high society with his polished manners and flawless tact. Thanks to his reliable, thoughtful work, he manages to slip into the elite circle of the Crown Prince’s entourage. Wherever Chen Wan appears, even the humidity in the air seems just right. But his efforts aren't aimed at making Zhao Shengge fall in love with him. He never seeks recognition or credit; Zhao Shengge doesn’t even need to know who he is. For Chen Wan, simply catching a distant glimpse of him from within the same social circle is enough. A friend, frustrated, once asked him: “What’s the point of all this?” Chen Wan smiled calmly, clinging to his unwavering belief in silent, unrequited love. “If I must give a reason,” he said, “then maybe… just the hope that my presence makes him a little happier, a little more at ease.” Zhao Shengge is a man born to power and privilege, admired by all. Chen Wan knows exactly where he stands. He has no delusions. He thinks he's played his part perfectly, leaving no trace, no flaw in his quiet adoration. At the auction, he hides among the crowd, greeting Zhao Shengge politely like everyone else. When he finds something the Crown Prince lost, he passes it along through a friend. And when someone tries to use him to get closer to Zhao Shengge, he apologizes and says, “He doesn’t actually know me.” He truly believes this. Until one night on a cruise ship, Zhao Shengge bites down on a cigarette, quietly staring at him, and says: “Chen Wan, I didn’t bring a lighter.” On the surface, it may look like Zhao Shengge is being pursued. But in reality, he’s been silently guiding the chase all along. This is a story of grown-up love—a push and pull filled with restraint, tests, and hidden depths. A battle of wits, where both the seme and the uke have 800 tricks up their sleeves.
